Benefits

A broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat fever caused by bacterial infections such as throat, ear, and respiratory infections. Also effective in typhoid, sinus infections, pneumonia, and certain STDs. Helps reduce fever and other symptoms by killing infection-causing bacteria. Offers rapid relief and a short 3–5 day treatment course.

Dosage

Typical dosage: 500mg once daily for 3 to 5 days. Take 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. Do not skip doses, even if feeling better — complete the full course. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew.

Side Effects

Common: Mild nausea, diarrhea, or stomach cramps. Occasional: Headache or dizziness. Serious (rare): Irregular heartbeat, jaundice, or allergic rash — seek immediate medical care.

⚠️ Precaution

Avoid use if allergic to macrolide antibiotics (like erythromycin). Not suitable for patients with severe liver problems. Avoid antacids 2 hours before or after taking the tablet. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated during treatment.
